Walk the Walk

It’s that time of the year again.. time for the CROP Walk.  Libby is busy handing out CROP Walk forms, so make sure you get yours!  The walk is on Sunday, April 25.  Registration begins at 1:00 p.m.  The walk begins at 2:00 p.m.  And I hear there is food in between those times!  Just come to the Central United Methodist Church in Lake Odessa.

If you can’t walk, join the cause by supporting a walker.  You can usually reach out and grab one at random from the congregation.  Or, you can get on the internet and  by clicking here, and find a member of Hope’s team that you can sponsor on-line.

Just a Sunday in March

I remembered the camera today, so I decided to record just an average Sunday in March.  Of course, the unexpected is always expected at Hope.  This week, Doug noticed that the “men’s quartet” members were all present.  He asked if they’d like to have a spontaneous quartet performance this week, and they all agreed.

Their performance was enjoyed bay all ages.

February Sledding

Each year the church plans a sledding event.  Connie has the perfect hill for such a party.  This year we weren’t sure if we waited too long and all the snow was going to be gone.  But the week before, lots of beautiful snow came down.

Before the sledding, the kids helped fill school bags for children that couldn’t afford school supplies.  Then they headed to the hills.  They’d just finished watching the Olympics, so some of the sledding was extreme.

But no  one was hurt and a good time was had by all.

Welcome Neil

I keep forgetting to take my camera to church so that I can get a picture of Neil.  I remembered it today, and of course, forgot that Neil’s parents were taking him out of state for the weekend (what’s up with grandmas wanting to spend time with the grandkids anyway!).  I do have a photo of Neil, though I’d been wanting one of him with his folks to post.  But I decided we couldn’t keep postponing the picture of our newest little guy.  Here is one of our older little guys enjoying Neil away from the church (building, not body).
